Zeiss M1m
Brief description:
The upright Zeiss M1m is equipped with liquid crystal based hardware from OpenPolScope for measuring the retardance of birefringent samples. Image acquisition and data analyzis for retardance and slow axis orientation can be measured and analyzed via micromanager plugins. More detailed information on the OpenPolscope configuration can be found Download here (PDF, 4.8 MB) and external page here.
Either a motorized xy stage from Märzhäuser (130 x 85 mm) or the Linkam CSS450 rheology stage for shear force measurements can be mounted. For further information and specification on the CSS450 stage please visit external page this page.
Besides the above mentioned techniques the microscope is equipped for conventional transmission and fluorescence microscopy operated via ZEN Blue.
