2023-03-13 Image Analysis with ImageJ/FIJI

Course overview

The workshop "Introduction to Image analysis using ImageJ/FIJI" runs over three consecutive afternoons (1–6 pm) and covers the basics of Image Analysis, with a focus on bio-images. The course contains mostly practical hands-on sessions with FIJI/ImageJ with a bit of theory (you will need a laptop with a decent sized screen). The course is open to all ETH and UZH members or external users upon prior agreement.

Course content

  • introduction to digital image analysis
  • enhancing and restoring images
  • making measurements
  • recording and modifying a simple macro
  • selected plugins

ECTS points

1 credit point, for Ph.D. students

Course fee

For students of ETH Zürich: 120 CHF (charged through the PPMS booking system to your group)
For participants of industry: 200 CHF

Number of participants

Participation will be limited to 15 people. In case of oversubscription, the available spaces will be distributed evenly between groups. You will be informed by email about your application no later than 1st of March, 2023.
